Romanian barley exports continue to go down
In January 2017 Romania exported 23 KMT barley (13.4 KMT in January 2016), which was almost four time less than record amount for this month, exported in January 2015 (88 KMT), but in line with 5-year average.
Thus, since the beginning of 2016/17 (July-January) Romanian barley exports decreased to 741 KMT (-47.6% y/y) compared to 1414 KMT exported over the same period last season, reports UkrAgroConsult.
During July-January 2016/17 lower purchasing activity is seen from Saudi Arabia (305.6 KMT against 601 KMT over the same period of 2015/16), Jordan (52.5 KMT against 174 KMT), Libya (88 KMT against 154 KMT). This season Iran didn`t purchase any Romanian barley so far (27.5 KMT over the same period last year).
