Romanian barley exports were twice as low


In November 2016 Romanian barley exports decreased to 14.3 KMT compared to the record shipments for this month observed in November 2015 – 84.2 KMT and 5 years average for this month – 35.44 KMT. Almost all November volume was shipped to Israel, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Thus, since the beginning of 2016/17 (July-November) Romania exported 673 KMT of barley, which was 47% less than the volumes shipped over the same period last season (1271 KMT) due to the lower demand from key importers.

In the reporting period shipments decreased in all key export destinations. Saudi Arabia, Libya, Jordan, Tunisia lowered purchases, while higher exports observed to Spain.
