Warmer than normal weather regime was observed all over Romania (with 2..4ºС positive deviation from norm). Daily air temperature averaged +5..+15ºС with maximums reaching +20ºС in the South, minimum lowering in the night time to -3ºС in the North of Romania.

Soil moisture stocks are at satisfactory level only in 0-20 cm layer. According to local meteorologists, deeper layers have soil moisture deficit (0-100 cm), particularly in winter wheat producing areas. Though, in March meteorologists forecast sufficient amount of rains and in April their amount will be excessive.

Romanian farmers continue to prepare soil for spring sowing campaign and fertilize winter crops. In some regions seeding of early spring crops started.
