Russia. “Caspian transport and logistics hub” project to be designed by March 2017


The project of a Caspian transport and logistics hub will be designed by March 1, 2017 and it may become the basis for the Russian-Iranian development, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Other discussed points include the possibility to organize a business mission to the North Caucasus and the development of trade and economic cooperation, in particular expanding exports of grain grown in the North Caucasian federal district. Additionally, talks concern prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of industry and transport logistics, including that within the framework of implementing the Caspian transport and logistics hub project.

The Caspian cluster is supposed to ensure the development of Russia’s trade cooperation not only with the Near East but also with Southern and Southeastern Asia. Additionally, it will cut the way of goods delivery from the north to the south by 50%, consequently reducing delivery costs by 10-15%.
