Russia. A plant for advanced grain processing to be built


Riko Company (Slovenia) has signed an agreement with Oryol region on building four plants there. The contract value is EUR 400 Ml, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to the region’s governor, it is planned to erect four plants, including a plant for advanced processing of grain. “A bumper grain harvest was gathered in Russia in 2016, but only 10% is processed,” he added.

According to the contract terms, over 50% of produce of all the plants will be acquired by Riko Company for sale in Europe. The governor says the Slovenian party assumes almost 85% of funding of the investment project. In turn, Oryol region is to prepare a piece of land, infrastructure and design.

Riko is implementing investment projects in Belarus, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Macedonia, Ukraine and Russia (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yaroslavl and Tolyatti). It is specialized in automobile manufacturing, energy, logistics, environment protection, construction and agriculture.
