Russia. Ag Ministry cut grain export forecast by 5 MMT

Russia’s Ag Ministry says it has cut its grain export forecast for the current marketing year by 5 MMT, to 35 MMT. In particular, the 2016/17 wheat export forecast was reduced by 2 MMT, to 28 MMT.

UkrAgroConsult reminds the previous estimate of the Ag Ministry for Russian grain exports equaled 40 MMT, including 30 MMT of wheat.

As we pointed out earlier, grain exports from Russia slowed down in season 2016/17.

UkrAgroConsult estimates that Russia exported 6-7% less grain in the four months of the current season (July-October) than at the same time a year ago.
