Russia. Ag Ministry predicts the wheat crop at 82 MMT


The Y2017 wheat crop in Russia will amount to 82 MMT in net weight, said the Russian ag minister. 73.3 MMT was harvested in the country last year.

The Ag Ministry forecasts this year’s gross crop of all grains at a record 130 MMT against 120.7 MMT last year, informs UkrAgroConsult.

While speaking of the outlook for making intervention purchases in the grain market, the minister said the Ag Ministry would consider this matter once the effect of the zeroing out of rail freight rates for grain deliveries from remote regions is analyzed.

Further prospects of the Black Sea grain market in the upcoming 2018/19 season will be discussed at the XV International Conference “Black Sea Grain”, which will take place on April 18-19, 2018 in InterContinental hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
