Russia and Kazakhstan. Oilseed inventories increased compared to a year ago


RUSSIA. As of October 1, 2018, farmer oilseed stocks in Russia totaled 3543.5 KMT that is 595.3 KMT or 20.2% more than on the same date last year (2948.2 KMT). Oilseed stocks increased by 2585 KMT in September, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Sunseed inventories on farms totaled 1765.2 KMT that is 182.5 KMT or 11.5% more than on the same date last year (1582.7 KMT). Sunseed inventories increased by 1410 KMT in September.

KAZAKHSTAN. The Statistics Committee under the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports that oilseed inventories totaled 1031.3 KMT as of October 1, 2018, or 6.6% more than last year (967.9 KMT as of October 1, 2017).

As of early October, linseed inventories were up almost 10% year-over-year at 502 KMT (+45.4 KMT), while those of rapeseed were up 14.8% year-over-year at 285.5 KMT (+36.9 KMT). Sunseed stocks were 3.6% lower than a year ago, at 139.8 KMT against 145.1 KMT available as of early October 2017. Soybean inventories were down 6.2% year-over-year at 42.4 KMT against 45.2 KMT a year ago.
