Russia. Another grain terminal may appear in Zarubino port

The idea of creating a terminal belongs to the agro-industrial group "Sodruzhestvo". At present, the company has purchased and reconstructed a grain-handling complex, which is directly contiguous to the Trans-Siberian Railway in the Amur Region, reports UkrAgroConsult.

To expand the export capacity, Sodruzhestvo is developing a project to build a grain terminal and deep-water port in one of Zarubino bays. Handling of agricultural commodities is oriented not only to transit flows from the northeast through the ports of Primorye to the south of China and so on, but also to reverse grain imports.

The company estimates that the transit flow of agricultural products will reach at least 1.5 MMT of cargo both in one direction and back.
