Russia boosted wheat bran exports by 17%


Russia continues increasing wheat bran exports in 2016/17, reports UkrAgroConsult. The country shipped abroad 316.3 KMT of wheat bran in the first five months of 2016/17, or 17.4% more than supplied to foreign markets in the same period last season (July-November 2015/16 exports totaled 269.4 KMT).

As before, the key destination market for Russian wheat bran exports is Turkey, which absorbed 92% of all the volume exported at the time. Turkey built up imports of Russian wheat bran to 290.4 KMT over those first months of 2016/17. Vietnam, Korea, China and Mongolia also remain stable importers of wheat bran from Russia.

According to UkrAgroConsult, Russia exported roughly 800 KMT of wheat bran in MY 2015/16.
