Russia. Bullish trends on wheat export market

Price movement is reported in the export market of Russian high-protein wheat for the first time in month, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Export prices for Russian milling wheat with 12.5% protein closed the week up $1 at $191-193/MT FOB in Novorossiysk port and $156-160/MT FOB in small ports, January-February delivery. They were pushed up by upward trends persisting in the global wheat market since a month ago. Another bullish factor was a steady fast pace of Russian wheat exports in view of shrinking supplies from other top global exporters at the time.

Russian wheat exports continue at a record pace due to favorable weather conditions. The first half of this season’s winter featured mild weather that had no impact on port navigation.
