Russia. China intends to arrange grain transit through Primorskiy region

The northeastern province of Heilongjiang wants to deliver agricultural commodities to the south of China through the ports of Primorie. "First Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the People's Republic of China in Heilongjiang Province, Zhang Qingwei used to be the governor of Hebei Province, where Hebei Port Group is located. He invited us to participate in development of the international transport corridor Primorie-1, with the help of which he hopes to supply agricultural commodities produced in the province to another part of China. We want to help the region fulfill this task", said Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hebei Port Group.

Annual traffic volumes can range 6-10 MMT of grain per year. In order to ensure availability of necessary capacities at all stages of cargo delivery, the company plans to invest in the development of port infrastructure of the region, including grain terminal construction. It is still unknown whether this is the question of investment in the planned grain terminal in Zarubino or creation of a new project, reports UkrAgroConsult.
