Russia. Corn stocks down 24% year-on-year


According to the Russian State Statistics Committee, grain inventories at farming, procurement and processing entities totaled 56.36 MMT as of November 1, 2017, or 16% more than on the same date last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Procurement and processing entities held 20.9% more wheat than a year ago: 15.65 MMT, including 11.04 MMT of milling wheat (up 27.9% year-on-year).

Barley stocks increased 15.6% to 2.23 MMT, while buckwheat inventories gained 1.2% (94 KMT), oat stocks gained 16% (166 KMT), and rye stocks were up 6.3% year-on-year (до 632 KMT). Corn inventories were down 23.6% year-on-year at 1.01 MMT as of early November. Rice and millet inventories were also lower than in 2016: down 45.8% and 19.1% (32 KMT and 27 KMT), respectively.
