Russia. Corn yield is lower compared to a year ago

Russian farmers harvested 99755 KMT of cereals from 30068 Th ha by September 04, 2017, with an average yield of 3.32 MT/ha. Last year 95640 KMT of grains and pulses were obtained to the same date with a yield of 2.77 MT/ha in 2016, reports UkrAgroConsult.

This includes 69838 KMT of wheat harvested from 18759 Th ha with an average yield of 3.72 MT/ha and 18048 KMT of barley harvested from 6219 Th ha with a yield of 2.90 MT/ha. Corn has been harvested from 82.9 Th ha (54.5 Th ha in 2016), 405 KMT (273 KMT) received with a yield of 4.88 MT/ha (5.02 MT/ha).
