Russia exported some 30 MMT of grain


According to current information of Russia’s Federal Customs Service, grain exports totaled 29.8 MMT this season by January 24, or 35% more than at the same time a year ago (22 MMT).

This season’s wheat exports totaled more than 23.5 MMT that is up 35% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Barley exports totaled more than 3.6 MMT this season, or 1.9 times as much as a year ago. Exporters shipped abroad roughly 2.6 MMT of corn, or 4% less than at the same time last season (2.7 MMT).

Exports of other grains increased 57% to 202 KMT against 129 KMT at the same time last season.

As a reminder, the Ag Ministry estimates this season’s export potential of Russian grain at 45-47 MMT.
