Russia. Grain prices continued sliding last week

Russian grain market prices continued sinking during last week. Remarkably, this concerns not only wheat but other cereals, too, reports UkrAgroConsult.

On average, export prices for Russian milling wheat closed the week down another $1 at $186‑188/MT FOB for wheat with 12.5% protein and $181‑183/MT FOB for 11.5% wheat in Novorossiysk port for April-May delivery. The prices continue to be pressured by developments both in Russia’s domestic market and in the global market.

Both domestic and export prices for feed grains are sliding, too. Due to the seasonal factor, Russian barley price in the export market closed the week down $2-3 at $163‑166/MT FOB in Novorossiysk port and $143‑145/MT FOB in small ports for April-May delivery.

In view of global trends, Russian corn prices also started falling in the export market. They closed the week down $1-2. According to UkrAgroConsult estimates, Russia’s corn export potential is already 82-85% realized.
