Russia. Grain stocks down 10.4% from last year

GRAINS. According to some data of the Russian state statistics agency, grain stocks at farming, procurement and processing entities totaled 45.77 MMT as of September 1, 2018, or 10.4% less than on the same date a year ago, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Russian growers hold 19.9 MMT of wheat, or 13.2% less than last year. Farmer stocks of corn decreased by 30.2%, to 594 KMT.

OILCROPS. As of September 1, 2018, farmer oilseed stocks in Russia totaled 959 KMT that is 261 KMT or 37.4% more than on the same date last year (698 KMT).

Sunseed inventories on farms totaled 355 KMT that is 139 KMT or 64.4% more than on the same date last year (216 KMT). Sunseed inventories increased by 213 KMT in August.
