Russia. Handling capacity of KSK grain terminal to be increased to 4 MMT per year

KSK terminal, which is located in the Eastern part of Tsemesskaya bay of Novorossiysk port and is owned by DeloPorts, will expand its capacities. Grain storage facilities with a capacity of 96 KMT and 6.6 KMT will be built on the site, which will allow the terminal to handle up to 4 MMT of grain per year (according to the company, the current capacity is 3.5 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The project is aimed to perform work on the coastal and marine parts of the enterprise. Reconstruction of the coastal part provides for modernization of grain receiving facilities from railway and automobile transport, coastal transport gallery and transformer substations. Rearrangement of the marine part provides for construction of a new berth and technological platform, as well as reconstruction of two existing berths. In addition, dredging works will be carried out to increase the depths at existing berths. The construction site area is 9.8 ha.
