Russia has maintained the volume of import of meat on the same level as last year


Russia in January-March 2017, compared with the same period last year, retained imports of meat (except poultry meat) at the level of last year

According to FCS, in the first quarter of the current year the supply of meat increased by 126,4 thousand tons compared to 126,3 thousand tons a year earlier. The value of imports increased to us $383,7 million from $324,4 million in the first quarter of last year.

The supply of poultry meat increased up to 46 thousand tons ($74,4 million) from 37.4 thousand tons ($46.8 million) in January-March 2016.

Fish imports increased by 22.7%, to 110,4 thousand tons ($279,4 million) from 90 million tons ($211,5 million) over the same period last year.
