Russia increased barley shipments to Lebanon in 2.5 times


Russia increased barley exports in April-May 2016/17. 232.2 KMT of barley was exported from Russia in May, or 89% more than in May 2016 (123 KMT).

In total, Russia exported 2775.5 KMT of barley in July-May 2016/17 that is down 34% year-on-year (4230.7 KMT in July-May 2015/16), reports UkrAgroConsult.

A corresponding decrease is observed in Russian barley deliveries to some of its end markets. At the same time, growth is seen in supplies to the European Union (by 23% from last year to 132.3 KMT), Lebanon (by more than 2.5 times to 166 KMT), Libya (by 57% to 252.5 KMT), and Morocco (by 47% to 25 KMT).
