Russia increased its exports of agricultural products


For the first half of 2017, the export of Russian agricultural products increased by 18%

According to the FCS of Russia (excluding trade with EAEU countries) in the first half of 2017, the export of agricultural products and food from Russia amounted to 7 345,7 million U.S. dollars, which is 17.7% above the same period last year.

The main exports are cereals, accounting for 37.1% of the total export volume, including the share of wheat – of 27.7%. In second place – fish and fish products (19.7%) is the third vegetable oil (15.4 per cent).

In addition, the first half of 2017, the rate of supply of Russian sugar 66 times to 115.4 thousand tons and pork – 2% to 9.2 thousand tons, the supply of poultry meat increased by 1.5% to 49.8 thousand tons.

The supply of frozen fish has grown to 725,9 thousand tons (+36.3 percent). The export of vegetable oils increased by 27.4% to 1.5 million tonnes of chocolate to 38,4 thousand tons (+21.1 per cent).

The volume of deliveries abroad of Russian wheat reached 11 275,7 thousand tons (+21,3% 1H 2017), barley – 1 111,9 thousand tons (+8.2 percent).

In January-may 2017 about 50% of exports of Russian agricultural products and foodstuffs imported into Egypt (is 812.3 million dollars. USA), China (700,6 million dollars. USA), Kazakhstan (575,2 million dollars. USA), Turkey (560,6 million. USA) and South Korea (541,9 million dollars. USA).

The main commodity items of supply in Egypt was the wheat and sunflower oil, in China – frozen fish, vegetable oil, soya beans, flour and chocolate, in Kazakhstan – sunflower oil, sugar, confectionery and chocolate, in Turkey, sunflower oil, grains, oilseeds and dried leguminous vegetables, South Korea, frozen fish, seafood, corn, and fish meal.
