Russia is ready to actively expand the volume of agricultural exports to Algeria


Russia is ready to export to Algeria of civil aircraft, vehicles, equipment for farmers, and also discussed cooperation in the fields of subsoil use, water transport, aerospace and pharmaceuticals, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev

On the eve of his visit to Algeria in an interview with Algerian news Agency APS Medvedev spoke about areas of cooperation between the two countries. "Of the most important areas of cooperation should be allocated to industry. Major Russian company - "Power machines" "Gazprom" is working successfully in Algeria in such important sectors as power generation and exploration", - said the Russian Prime Minister.

In addition, according to him, the Russian plant, which produces cars Renault supplies in Algeria bodies for the final Assembly, and this year it is planned to put 18 thousand, of which more than half have been shipped. "In the future we plan to expand the line at the expense of other automotive components", - he added.

"Actively cooperating in the energy sector. We have many successful projects in oil and gas sphere", - he said. Medvedev also said that promising is the agriculture sector.

"Algeria, as you know, each year buys significant quantities of grain, while Russia is a leading exporter in the world. It is obvious that we can be helpful to each other. More active cooperation in this area can positively affect our trade balance," - said the Russian Prime Minister.

Currently, according to him, the subject discussed cooperation in other areas. "This subsoil use, water transport, high technology and aerospace, construction, pharmaceuticals. So we have every reason to believe that in the coming years, economic cooperation of Russia and Algeria will develop," - said Medvedev.
