Russia. KDV will launch a macaroni factory in 2018


LLC KDV Yashkinskaya Melnitsa (owned by Tomsk-based KDV Group) is planning to launch a macaroni factory in Q4 2018, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The production complex located in Yashkinsky district, Kemerovo region comprises two objects: an already constructed mill with a silo and a projected macaroni factory. The mill’s capacity equals 130 KMT of flour a year and that of the macaroni factory would be 69 KMT of pasta a year. The project’s total cost is RUB 3.78 Bl, including RUB 3.62 Bl of borrowed money. The payback period is 11 years. The complex operates on grain grown by KDV Group’s farms in Altai region.

According to the Euromonitor International, KDV Group became Russia’s second largest snack producer by sales volume in 2016. The top one was Mondelez.
