Russia made more than 3 MMT of vegoil this season
Oilseed crushing in Russia dropped in February 2017. So, 449.3 KMT was produced that month, or 12.5% less than in January 2017 (513.4 KMT). As a reminder, vegoil output hit an all-time high in December 2016, reaching 611.5 KMT. Altogether, some 3051 KMT of vegoil was produced in the first half of 2016/17 (September-February). This is a record high for the period under review, exceeding last season’s 2688 KMT by 13.5%, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Roughly 81% of vegoil output is accounted for by sunoil. Its February 2017 production hit a record 371 KMT against 415 KMT in January 2017 and 362 KMT in February 2016. In total, sunoil production reached a record 2468 KMT in September-February 2016/17 against 2183 KMT at the same time in MY 2015/16.
