Russia. Milling wheat export prices continued to grow last week

Further price growth was seen in Russia’s export market of milling wheat last week, both in deep-water and small ports. In view of a strengthening rouble, export prices for milling wheat with 12.5% and 11.5% protein content closed the week up another $2 at $191‑194/MT FOB and $187‑189/MT FOB, respectively, in Novorossiysk port for March-April delivery.

At the same time, the pace of Russian grain exports leaves much to be desired. The main constraint is a strengthened rouble, which curbs export sales. Steadily strong Egyptian demand remains almost the only foreign driver for Russian exports.
