Russia. Rapeseed crushing has been falling for a second season in a row

15.3 KMT of rape oil was produced in Russia in June 2017 against 23 KMT in May 2017 and 8 KMT in June 2016. June’s output was the lowest in the whole 2016/17 marketing year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Rapeseed oil production in the 2016/17 season (July-June) amounted to a total 305.9 KMT. It was down 11% year-on-year (343.8 KMT in July-June 2015/16).

Rapeseed crushing in Russia has been falling for a second season in a row. In view of more optimistic forecasts for the 2017/18 rapeseed crop than harvested in the previous season (up 0.2 MMT), rape oil production may restore in the new season.
