Russia. Rapeseed oil production at a three-year low

Russian rapeseed oil production totaled some 291 KMT in 2016/17 season (July-May) that was the lowest amount in the last three seasons. Its output was down 13.5% year-on-year (335.8 KMT was made in 2015/16), reports UkrAgroConsult.

23 KMT of rape oil was produced in Russia in May 2017 against 30.5 KMT in April 2017 and 17.5 KMT in May 2016.

Ahead of the end of the current 2016/17 season, rapeseed oil producers continue catching up with last year’s schedule. Nevertheless, Russian crushers hardly will manage to release more than 300 KMT of rape oil for the whole season, but they are quite likely to reduce the lag to less than 13%.
