Russia reduced rapeoil production in MY 2016/17

30.4 KMT of rapeoil was made in Russia in September 2016 against 18.9 KMT in August 2016 and 37.8 KMT in September 2015, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In total, 75.4 KMT of rapeoil was produced in 2016/17 (July-September), i.e. almost 36% less than in the past season of 2015/16.

Analyzing the trends of the first three months, UkrAgroConsult notes that the largest production volumes of rapeoil feature August, but a different situation takes shape in the current season. Obviously, the drawn-out start of rapeseed harvest and its lagging behind last year caused a shortage in the feedstock market early in the season.

Consequently, 2016/17 production is expected to have peaked in October 2016.
