Russia restricted indirect supplies of quarantineable products from Nepal


Rosselhoznadzor since June 19 imposes restrictions on supplies of quarantineable products of high phytosanitary risk from Nepal through third countries

"Rosselkhoznadzor 19 Jun 2017 allows only direct supply in the Russian Federation of regulated products of high phytosanitary risk originating from Nepal, accompanied by phytosanitary certificates that state only through the checkpoints located in the Russian sector of the external borders of the Eurasian economic Union", – stated in the message of supervising Department.

Restrictions are imposed to prevent the importation to Russia of agricultural products that fall under the sanctions, the report says

They are associated with the increase in traffic not previously shipped to Russia of regulated products from Nepal, which comes to Russia logistics complex ways across EU countries, accompanied by re-export phytosanitary certificates of Belarus.

The request of the Rosselkhoznadzor on the extent of cultivation and production in Nepal, this product has remained unanswered.
