Russia. Roughly 68% of the soft wheat crop is represented by milling wheat


Milling wheat accounted for 68.5% of the 44.6 MMT of 2017-crop soft wheat (52.2% of the total crop) examined by experts of the Federal Grain Quality Center in 50 regions of Russia on November 24.

The collected samples contained no 1st grade wheat, 0.1% of 2nd grade, 24.7% of 3rd grade, 43.7% of 4th grade, and 31.4% of non-food 5th grade.

In addition, milling wheat represented 88.6% of the 338 KMT of hard wheat examined in six regions (58.7% of the total crop), including 0.4% of 1st grade, 1% of 2nd grade, 41.8% of 3rd  grade,  45.4% of 4th grade, and 11.4% of non-food 5th grade.
