Russia. RusAgro reported a drop in fat-and-oil revenues


RusAgro’s fat-and-oil business revenues dropped by 17% to RUB 9.6 Bl in the first half of the year, the company reports.

This figure reached RUB 11.6 Bl at the same time last year. The fat-and-oil segment generated RUB 4.3 Bl of revenues in Q1 2017 (down 25% from Q1 2016) and RUB 5.3 Bl in Q2 (down 11%).

In particular, mayonnaise sales decreased 7% to 30.6 KMT in H1 2017, while sales of margarine and bulk oil fell by 7% to 15.9 KMT and by 9% to 78.8 KMT, respectively. Sales of bottled oil slumped by 29% to 7.2 KMT, including a 46% fall year-on-year in Q2.
