Russia. Seaport Taman expects expansion


Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the expansion of Taman seaport in Krasnodar region. The initiative is aimed at the implementation of new investment projects and infrastructure development, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The port is planned to include a bulk cargos terminal with capacity up to 35 MMT per year, grain terminal, mooring complex for liquefied hydrocarbon gas, as well as a staging area for large-sized and heavy cargoes.

Earlier it was reported on about USD 2 billion investment in port construction, and the same amount of funds should be spent in future. Besides, USD 258 million will be invested in the construction of infrastructure facilities in Taman, which are related to the company’s objects.
