Russia. Sodruzhestvo to build a soybean crushing plant in Primorye

Sodruzhestvo Group is planning to build a soybean crushing plant and a product-handling sea terminal in Primorye region, said Group board chairman Alexander Lutsenko as cited by Zerno On-Line.

“We (Sodruzhestvo Group) are interested in investing in the Far East. We already have experience of such operation,” said A. Lutsenko.

The head of the region suggested the investors to familiarize themselves with Nakhodka port’s potential.

“Not only capacities needed to set up the production are available here, but also excellently established logistics: a railroad and a motor road. Also, a new highway Vladivostok - Nakhodka – Vostochny port is under construction now. It is convenient that ready ports with infrastructure are already available there,” said A. Tarasenko as cited by the press service.

Founded in 1994, Sodruzhestvo Group consists of four business units: processing facilities (producing proteins and vegoils from vegetable and animal raw materials), trade in agricultural commodities, specialized infrastructure (including deep-water sea ports) and logistics. The headquarter office is located in Luxembourg. The company owns more than 30 facilities in 20 countries of the world, including Brazil, Paraguay, Russia, Denmark, the U.S., the Mediterranean and some East European countries.
