Russia. Soybean cultivation under a modern crop management system to begin in Primorye region

LLC Kengrow (Vladivostok) is about to start implementing a major agricultural project for corn and soybean growing in the priority development area (PDA) of Mikhaylovsky, Primorye region, Zerno On-Line reports.

Modern crop management systems will be used in the production process. They allow taking high-resolution satellite pictures.

“Using this sort of systems will make it possible for Kengrow to control soil moisture content and even compile data for the most accurate possible scheduling of harvest and logistics operations. Thus, the potential resident expects to be able to monitor the growing process and productivity while staying far away from the farm,” reads the report.

The project initiator considers East Asia as the main end market for sales of the finished product, reports UkrAgroConsult.

PDA is an area with special legal treatment of businesses, which enjoy extensive tax and administrative preferences granted by the government there. 18 priority development areas operate in the Far Eastern federal district now.
