Russia. Stavropol region to export grain and milling products to India, China, UAE and Sri-Lanka


The Stavropol-based companies Moya Mechta and Vital Product will begin exporting barley and corn to India, Hong Kong (China), Dubai (UAE) and Sri Lanka, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Moya Mechta has signed a RUB 8 Ml-worth contract for supplying Stavropol barley to India. Vital Product has struck a deal for exporting 2.5 KMT of corn groats a month to Hong Kong. In addition, the company has signed contracts for supplying over 160 MT of corn groats a month to Dubai and 46 MT to Sri Lanka throughout the year.

Moya Mechta Company owns more than 35 Th ha of land and comprises three plants. Its product range includes cereal, essential-oil, spice, medicinal crops and natural dyes. They are shipped to Southeast Asia, Europe and the USA.

Vital Product is a major Russian producer of corn groats and flour. It owns 15 Th ha of land and makes up to 300 MT of product a day. The company supplies corn oil to Angola and Cameroon, corn groats to Jordan, and cooperates with Turkish, Indian and Saudi Arabian companies.
