Russia stepped up wheat exports by 26%


Russia exported 14.77 MMT of wheat in MY 2017/18 by November 15, or 26.3% more than a year ago, the Russian Ag Ministry reports.

According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, a total of some 19.12 MMT of grains were exported by November 15, 2017 (up 29.5% year-on-year), including 14.77 MMT of wheat, some 2.78 MMT of barley and over 1.44 MMT of corn, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In MY 2016/17, Russia exported some 14.77 MMT of grain by November 16, including 11.69 MMT of wheat. Last season’s grain exports totaled 35.47 MMT, including roughly 27.08 MMT of wheat. The Russian Ag Ministry expects this season’s grain exports to total 45 MMT, including 30 MMT of wheat.
