Russia to harvest 110 MMT of grain in 2018

Taking into account possible weather risks, current condition of winter crops and farmers’ preparedness for spring planting, Russia will harvest at least 110 MMT of grain in 2018, said first deputy ag minister Jambulat Khatuov.

As a reminder, according to the Russian Ag Ministry, the country’s crop of cereals and pulses totaled 134.1 MMT in 2017 versus 120.7 MMT in 2016. Noteworthy, the 2018 grain crop forecast of 110 MMT is one of the highest over the decade, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to the Ag Ministry’s estimate, Russian grain exports in 2018 will total 45-47 MMT.
