Russia To Harvest Up To 110 Mln Tonnes Of Grain In 2019 - Agriculture Minister

Russia's grain harvest this year may reach 110 million tonnes, more than half of which will consist of wheat, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said Monday.

"We count on roughly 108-110 million tonnes ...

That includes some 67 million of wheat," Patrushev said, adding it was too early to make precise estimates.

The minister spoke about harvest forecast at a meeting in the Kremlin with President Vladimir Putin. The transcript was published on the president's official webpage.

Patrushev said his ministry hoped to export 42 million tonnes of grain, including 36 million tonnes of wheat in 2019, a figure which he said suggests "serious export gains."
