Russian linseed exports up 60%


Linseed exports from Russia continued shrinking in February 2017. So, about 24.5 KMT of linseed was exported that month, or 30% less than a month earlier) and 40% less than in February 2016.

Nevertheless, this season’s pace of Russian linseed exports is still much faster than a year ago. Russia supplied 60% more linseed to foreign markets in the first half of MY 2016/17 against the same time in 2015/16: 417.5 KMT against 260.8 KMT, respectively, informs UkrAgroConsult.

At this time, 50% of Russian linseed exports traditionally went to the European Union. Shipments to the Turkish market also continued growing. In the period under review, Russia exported 170.5 KMT of linseed (41%) to Turkey that was already 90% more than shipped there for the whole last season.
