Russian Railways may gain right to reduce tariffs for grain by 55%

JSC Russian Railways may gain the right to reduce tariffs for certain goods by 55% within the limits of tariff corridor. Substantiation for practicability of this measure is being prepared by the Federal Antimonopoly Service. The conclusion should be ready in the second quarter of 2017, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The initiative will concern cargoes of the second and the third classes – crude oil, grain, fertilizers and containers, as well as metals, transported on distance to 1.1 thousand kilometers. Now they are the subject to a decreasing coefficient of up to 50% without any distance limits. The increase in discount will reduce burden on consumers and attract additional cargo to the railway.
