Russian sunoil production set a new record over five months

519.2 KMT of vegoils were produced in Russia in January, i.e. 14.7% less than in the previous month, but 1.1% more than in January 2017 (513.4 KMT). This year’s January vegoil output hit an all-time high, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In total, Russian vegoil production in September-January 2017/18 was up 2.6% on the year and set a new record for the time. So, Russia produced 2654.4 KMT of vegoils during these months against 2601.6 KMT a year ago.

The gain was accounted for mostly by expanding sunoil production in the country. Russian crushers made 2141 KMT of sunoil in MY 2017/18, i.e. 2% more than in the same period last season (2097 KMT in September-January 2016/17).
