Russian's EFKO set to penetrate Kazakhstan’s market of bottled sunoil

Russia’s EFKO is planning to start producing bottled sunoil in Almaty (Kazakhstan) in Q3 2018, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The plant presently makes crude sunoil. The new brand ‘Sultan’ produced by the company will be aimed mostly at the Kazakh market. EFKO claims that its product is of very high quality and therefore unchallenged in Kazakhstan. Apart from gaining the domestic consumer, the company is about to enter the neighboring markets of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. Cooperation with China in this field is not ruled out either.

It is projected to produce some 1.6-1.7 KMT of sunoil at EFKO’s Almaty plant and occupy 5-10% of Kazakhstan’s market in 2018. In addition, they are going to set up production of mayonnaise and ketchup.
