Sales of apples in Russia has decreased by almost 19%

In the period from 2012 to 2016, sales of apples in the Russian market declined by 18.8%

According to a study conducted by BusinesStat, in 2012-16. sales of apples in Russia decreased by 18.8% and amounted to 1.54 million tons.

It is expected that in the years 2017-2021 natural sales of apples increased by 1.7 and 9.9% annually. A significant contribution to sales growth will bring increased demand from the industrial processing sector faced after the introduction of predamage with the shortage of imported concentrates for the production of juices and canned fruits and vegetables.

As the resumption of growth in real incomes will start to increase Apple sales in the retail sector. In 2021, sales of apples in Russia will amount to 2.08 million tonnes, which exceeds the level of 2016 by 35.7%.
