September USDA: estimates of oilseed production in Black Sea countries


According to the new report of USDA 2016/17 season estimates of oilseed production in the Black Sea region did not have any major changes Corrections were made for Russia and Kazakhstan. Thus, rapeseed production forecasts in Russia lowered to 1000 KMT against 1100 KMT in August. Moreover, sunflower crop in Kazakhstan is expected to reach 550 KMT, which was 50 KMT higher than in the previous month.

In 2016/17 total rapeseed production in BSG countries will be 509 KMT lower than in 2015/16 at the level of 2750 KMT. Total production of soybeans will be 281 KMT higher – 7020 KMT. Sunflower production is estimated at 25500 KMT (+3020 KMT to the result of 2015/16).
