21.05.2018

Sodruzhestvo Group has launched the largest oil extraction plant in Belarus. The new facility is capable of processing 2 KMT of oilseeds a day, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The plant in Smorgon will produce a wide range of products from soybeans (meal, oil, lecithin, granulated soybean husks) and rapeseed (meal, oil, lecithin).

The project is being implemented in stages. Within the framework of the first construction stage, a production and logistics complex was put into operation in 2014. It is outfitted with a modern laboratory for examining the quality of raw materials and finished products. The warehouse terminal comprises a 137 KMT granary for cereals and pulses, floor storage spaces for 36 KMT, and tanks for storing 22,400 cubic m of liquid bulk products.

The Group has already completed the project’s second stage involving the launch of the largest oil extraction plant in Belarus. As expected, the work was finished in the first half of 2018.

As a reminder, the third stage of construction is to start this year in order to provide for the deepest possible processing of oilseed structures. It is planned to bring the Smorgon oil extraction facility to its full design capacity in 2020.
