Strong winds and rains slam the Santa Fe province in Argentina as corn planting takes place


As the corn planting reaches 31.8 percent of the estimated surface in Argentina, the province of Santa Fe has been hard hit by torrential rains, wind and hail. This particular weather has affected corn, sunflower and wheat crops in the province, mostly damaging the areas of Villa Saralegui, Marcelino Escalada, San Justo and Cacique Ariacaiquin. The total surface damaged was at least 160,618 acres.
