Swedes selling their assets in Russia


The Swedish company Black Earth Farming announced the sale of its business in Russia. The deal’s value was disclosed at USD 184 Ml, reports UkrAgroConsult. The buyer will be Russia’s Volgo-DonSelkhozInvest.

Black Earth Farming has been planning to sell the Russian business since 2016. The Swedish company operated in Russia via its daughter Agro-Invest. The company owns assets in Voronezh, Tambov, Lipetsk and Kursk regions. Black Earth Farming is engaged in growing of wheat, barley, sunseed, as well as corn, soybeans and rapeseed.
