Thailand anticipates more poultry meat exports to China


The Department of Livestock Development (DLD) in Thailand has confirmed that the first shipment of frozen chicken meat from Thailand has passed all 24 criteria for chicken meat inspection imported into China.

The department is trying to push forward another 12 factories to be certified following the acceptance of seven plants. If all 19 plants are approved, Thailand’s earnings from chicken meat exports to China could hit USD 633,000 per year.  Dr Apai Sutthisang, Director General of DLD revealed that following the first shipment of 14 containers there is greater acceptance of Thai chicken in China.
