The growth of agricultural production in Russia is estimated at 3.5-4% this year

Forecast of production of agricultural products in the country is reduced from 4.8% due to bad weather

The growth of agricultural production in Russia in 2017 will be at the level of 3.5-4%, said Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.

"This year is not simple, we see weather disasters. We (was – ed.) quite late in spring and has moved the timing to a certain extent. Of course, we hope that will be warm in the fall and we will be able to remove the bread and other cultures. Previously, we estimated the growth rate this year is not worse than previous years, that is around 3.5-4%", — he told in interview to TV channel "Russia 24".

In mid-April Tkachev said that the Ministry hopes to increase the agricultural production by year-end 2017 below last year to 4.8%.
