The number of cows in Russia has decreased almost on 2%

In 2016, the number of cows in the whole of the Russian Federation, according to preliminary data, decreased by 1.9% compared with January and equaled by the end of 2016 8 250,1 thousand heads

The decrease in population is noted in all categories of farms, except for K(f)X I IP:, folk – 1.9%, up to 3 355,4 thousand heads in farms population by 4.0% to 3 727,7 thousand heads. In K(f)Kh and PI the population increased by 2.5% and amounted to 1 166,9 thousand heads.

The greatest decrease in the number of cows in farms of all categories (in absolute terms) were recorded in the Republic of Kalmykia, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Omsk and Orenburg regions, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and Altai Krai.

While in the 29 subjects of the Russian Federation noted an increase in the number of cows. Among them, Bryansk oblast, Republic of Altai and Crimea, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Leningrad, Saratov, Smolensk, Kaluga, Sakhalin region, which showed the greatest increase in population.

The greatest number of cows as of 01.01.2017 remained in the Republic of Dagestan (483,6 thousand goal., at the beginning of 2016), the Republic of Bashkortostan (435,9 ths., -29,6 thousand goal.), The Republic of Tatarstan (362,6 thousand goal., -4,0 thousand goal.), Altai Krai (of 340.1 thousand goal., -8,3 thousand goal.), The Republic of Kalmykia (331,4 thousand goal., -30,7 thousand goal.).
